NW 138th Street Roadway & drainage Improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SRS was responsible for the engineering design, preparation of construction documents, plans permitting (Miami-Dade County Public Works, DERM, SFWMD, & FDOT), pre-construction phase support services to the City of Hialeah for the construction of NW 138th Street between I-75 and N.W. 107th Avenue. The work includes the preparation of designs for the construction of drainage improvements, street lighting and signalization, together with the design of a new 50’ wide canal including culverts and a canal wall along the north side of NW 138th Street between NW 97th Avenue and I-75. The new design includes a 6-lane divided roadway, double left turns and deceleration lanes, and signalized intersections at NW 97th Avenue, NW 102nd Avenue, and NW 107th Avenue. Construction administration support and inspection services during the construction including review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, review payment request, conduct periodic inspections, and engineer certifications.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SRS provided engineering design, preparation of construction documents, permitting assistance, and pre-construction phase support services to the City of Hialeah for the reconstruction of over 26 miles of existing roadways, including the preparation of designs for the construction of drainage improvements associated with the roadway reconstruction. Our work included meeting with City of Hialeah staff and local regulatory agencies to establish design guidelines, conduct a utility search and identification of existing utilities, existing traffic controls, and review roadway design standards. We also designed and prepared the construction documents for the project. This work included the preparation of summary of quantities, signage and marking plans, signage and marking quantities, MOT plan, specifications, and engineer’s estimate of probable construction cost. SRS also performed pre-construction support services, which included attending pre-bid meeting, responding to pre-bid request of information, and review of bids. This also included providing supplemental information and/or clarification of construction documents to prospective bidders during the bid solicitation process, review bid submittals, attend bid-opening meeting, and provide construction inspections as needed. (SRS was Prime Consultant).
Miller Drive Roadway & Drainage Improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SRS provided engineering design, preparation of construction documents, and permitting assistance, and construction phase support services to the Miami-Dade County Public Works Department (M.D.C.P.W) for the widening of Miller Drive between SW 152nd Avenue and SW 158 Avenue (3,250 LF), as well as including the preparation of designs for the construction of drainage improvements associated with the roadway reconstruction. The work included meeting with Miami-Dade County Public Works staff and local regulatory agencies to establish design guidelines, conduct a utility search and identification of existing utilities, existing traffic controls, and review roadway design standards. Construction documents prepared for the project consisted of the roadway plan and profiles, summary of quantities, signage and marking plans, signage and marking quantities, MOT plan, and specifications.
